Halloween Miniaturized...

Happy Weekend !

Well, that didn't go as planned. Lol! I was hoping to switch-over to the new store this past week but the technology gods had a different plan for me. Not that I wanted or needed one.

Meanwhile, enjoy a sneak peak of one of the new miniature gardens that I made for the new store, decorated for Halloween with a few new ideas that I've been working on. Whew! That's a lot of new. Lol! More on the custom details to come... 

The store is still open, it's just a cosmetic update so everything is functioning normally. I'm SO looking forward to getting back to the miniature gardening after this web-project is completed!

PHOTO AT TOP: That spooky Arborvitae in the corner back right is the Mayolana holub Arborvitae. To the left of that is an annual pepper plant and in front is the miniature brass buttons. And the lawn underneath that incredibly scary monster is Irish Moss. I can't find that particular arborvitae for sale anywhere! A good reminder that when you see that perfect plant or tree - or miniature - grab it. I do have a fun substitute listed below that is available...

The Van Bone Family Graveyard - Steve wanted to use that pepper plant (behind the tombstone-pedestals) in a Halloween miniature garden. I seldom use seasonal annuals in my miniature garden scenes but that deep, rich red color got me. AND it looked like a miniature shrub so - living on the edge here... Lol! That's the Van Bone Family graveyard - I'll share more details soon - they were a ton of fun to make.

REMEMBER: To pull all the colors of the occasion out from your miniature accessory stash to see if they can fit in your miniature scene. Halloween is especially fun because of all the colors involved - even my new favorite snail pot can fit the moment. The Adirondack is stained a reddy-orange color so I can use it for Christmas, Valentines Day and the Fourth.
