We are about 5 to 7 days-out right now in our shipping schedule during our busiest month. Priority Mail orders get priority because they are easier to ship (PLUS they include our plant shipping guarantee!) (We don't guarantee any plants shipped via Ground Advantage - ICYMI.)  

I know there is some "weather" happening around several areas of the country so if you want to order and delay shipping a couple/few days, go ahead and place your order, connect via email or the comment box in the online store, and tell us when to ship. Plants and accessories are moving fast.

It's Slowly Growing...

I'm pleased to report that National Miniature Garden Month is finally growing on its own! Okay, so it's growing as sloooooowly as a true miniature tree at less than 1" per year - but, without a few thousand dollars and no sign of a celebrity endorsement - it's still working! You know I'm a glass-half-full kind girl. 😅

Several websites have picked it up (to sell their poster and logo designs,) a Taylor Swift fan-page on Facebook painted her nails in honor of the day (okay, in honor of Swift, but I'll take it...) 

Some schools and libraries have posted projects and one school librarian used it to segue into a video about new books to read for the school - well, at least she mentioned it!

And a Florida water and conservation district website posted about it too. Baby steps. Lol! Baby steps! I told you it was growing slowly!!  😆

Who knew creating a brand new pastime would be so challenging? (When was the last time someone invented a pastime?? Gah!) I tried to get a page on the National Garden Association site (I actually wrote copy and sent photos! Arg!) as well as the Gardening Know-How site - and got crickets ~> 🦗🦗🦗

Let's hope it's the good crickets - not the ones that eat roots and tubers. Lol! (I'm really on a roll here...😂)

So, you know what to do: G'head and wish everyone that you meet a "Happy Miniature Garden Month!" You'll be helping it grow, inch by inch... ask, search for, comment on, like, build, teach, share, brag, boast and show-off your miniature gardens! 

Keep a basket, a tray or use a small tackle box - to keep your tiny accessories in when you're not around to enjoy them. The tinier props like the miniatures shown on the table in the photo, I don't keep them outside because they will get lost. I can glue them down to the table to keep track of them - use outdoor silicon, it can be removed from most items. The little plants in the pots are Sedum Cuttings. The sign in the back is from my Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book - if your smitten with this hobby, you need this book.

Buried in Baby Tears! - that tiny-leafed plant that is to the left of the Dwarf Mondo Grass behind the chairs. 

PRO TIP - This is my favorite vignette in my big in-ground miniature garden. It's the path that does it - a winding path is a fun feature in any garden, big and small. It adds curiousity and lures the viewer into the scene. 

Your tiny pathway can lead to another miniature garden area, to a lovely statue, pond or a quiet bench at the end of the path. Mine leads to my "lake" but I'll need a mini-machete to find the path thats covered in Baby Tears... 😄
