Hi !
It was officially Spring as of Thursday, the 20th, so, HAPPY SPRING! I think it's time to go for it, and let the
weather just do it's thing... as I sit here with layers of fleece on, listening to the latest rain storm going through. We'll be thankful for all this rainfall come the summer - just hang in there!
I have some new things up in the store this week, including some classic, yet fun miniatures to add a lil' somethin' to your
somethin'-somethin'!
Today's Tip - Permission to be a Lazy (Full-Sized) Gardener
As your full-sized garden slowly wakes up for spring, be a little lazy about
cleaning up the fallen leaves and other garden debris in your beds. Overwintering pollinators, like bee species, flies, wasps, beetles and more, use the natural decaying garden clutter for shelter and nesting sites. By delaying your garden clean up, or leaving an area unkempt especially for them, it'll help them get a good start this spring, and help everyone else on the planet as well.
It's also important to note that natural and organic pest control methods are often less expensive, easier and quicker to implement than going to the store, reading all kinds of fine print and buying a "cide" - a pesticide, herbicide, etc. A quick blast of a hose or a misting of soapy water are just a couple of FREE methods to look into if you have any unwanted pests. Try natural methods
first!
