Today's Tip - If you have been growing your
miniature garden for awhile, your ground covers may be starting to climb onto your trees and into your shrubs. Don't let them. Reach underneath the canopy of the tree/shrub and pull them out carefully, or trim them back from the base of the tree. The ground cover foliage will block the air-flow and eventually smother the plant or at least damage the bottom branches.
Depending upon the ground cover, you may be able to pinch it back, or use scissors and feather-it, like a hair cut so it looks natural.
If you don't know what plant to cut back and everything is growing together. Protect your trees and shrubs first. Ground covers aren't as spendy and can always be
replaced. A miniature tree that you've been growing for a couple/few years is harder to replace. Take the easiest one back first. Email me a photo if you have a question.
