Today's Tips:
About that weather...
I'm pret-ty sure I've lost track of what is happening weather-wise across the country. I'm getting weather-whip-lash and I don't even live in the Northeast. Pretty crazy huh? But, as far as I know, the plants have an ability to adapt, for the most part. (Let me know otherwise, hit reply.)
The main idea is to buffer the plants from extremes - namely from major temperature fluctuations like going from warm to freezing. (From freezing to warm is less dangerous.) Grab an old lightweight blanket or burlap and cover them for the evening, and take it off in the morning.
And let the soil dry out to barely damp every now and then if you can. The plant's roots need air and if they get too much water, the roots will suffocate. This is why overwatering is usually more fatal than under-watering.
