Thinkin' Pink...

Hi ,

Hey I hope this finds you safe and comfy wherever you are - and I REALLY hope you're enjoying your miniature gardening! We've been taking a step back now that the summer is here and the busy spring season is done but there is ONE thing that I've been thinking of for months now... and the time has come.  

You see, when I was growing up, my Mom relegated different hobbies to us five kids. Billy had his train set. Missy had Barbies. I had miniatures and my craft kits, and my twin had his model planes and army stuff. I'm not sure what my little sister Sue had as a hobby as she came a bit later and it wasn't as much as a problem keeping her toys and interest to herself so I think she had anything she wanted. 

But, something that mom never realized - I loved ALL kinds of miniatures - including my sister's Barbies. I was so jealous! There were SO many accessories and clothes and houses and cars... 

You can see where I'm going with this right?

'Cause is all the rage... Barbie the Movie is coming! It looks like a perfectly frivolous, silly, iconic romp through my sister's Barbie house and I can't wait to see it. Lol!

And, I'm in the process of making a pink miniature garden.

My very first miniature garden photo was Barbie-sized. This gal isn't a Barbie doll but she is 1/6 scale and is the same size so we could use the same-size accessories and clothes. We were playing around with photos for a greeting card line when I stumbled across the miniature garden idea, back in 1999. By 2001, I had tested the idea and started Two Green Thumbs. The rest is "herstory." :o)

Miniature gardening doesn't need a season or a reason - that's why we keep our store stocked with plants, trees, patio solutions and more, all year long.

Because you can always plant your wee world 
in a container - anytime! 

Welcome to Toad Mountain. Lol! I"m still not sure about having a large toad statue in my miniature garden works or not, but he sure adds an element of fantasy, doesn't he? This is a continuation of my studies on in-ground miniature gardening for the Miniature Garden Society. I've found a way to really enjoy having a "big" miniature garden in ground and it's is much easier that I thought to maintain.
