Happy Day ! 🌷 💙 🌤️ ~ Here's Your Mini Garden Gazette!
Published: Fri, 04/28/23
Ahhh! It's
Really Spring!
Hi !
Well spring has finally sprung here in the PNW - meaning it's 75 degrees, blue skies and sunny! Everyone has a smile plastered on their faces and everyone is cheerful and
kind... I love it! It's just amazing how a little sunshine and warmth can change attitudes - including mine. I hope this finds you enjoying the springtime in your area too!
So, we're on the cusp of the first
annual National Miniature Garden Month that starts on Monday, May 1st. I really don't know what will happen outside of what we're doing
here at Miniature Garden Headquarters. I've got all ideas on the table and I'm hopeful to bring something fresh, fun and different each week. I'm only advertising sales and specials through this email list so you'll be in-the-know! Stay tuned!
See the details on today's fairy garden below.

What is a National Month?
I signed up for the National Miniature Garden Month last summer and I've been bragging about it ever-since. But I've realized that everyone doesn't know about national days or national months. Here's the explanation:
You might recognize the more-popular topics and didn't know that they were "national months" on the National Day Calendar. For example, February is Black History Month and June is the LGBTQ+ pride month. There is often a corporation or a charitable company who registered for these months to help bring awareness to their cause and get it noticed by the media, which uses these as news-bites throughout the month.
There are also National Days that are recognized too, and a lot of them are for fun. There is "National Pizza Day," "National Garden Naked Day." (I have yet to participate in that one. Lol!) and there is "National Sneak Some
Zucchini on Your Neighbor's Porch Day" (<- of which, I have participated. :o) These lighter topics are often used by the media as a filler in their program, or to end the news on a lighter note.
And
while National Miniature Garden Month in May is nowhere near as serious as the above month-long examples, I registered this month to help
get our beloved hobby of gardening in miniature noticed by more people. It's certainly been a challenge to make this hobby as well known as knitting but, hey, what else is the founder of a hobby supposed to do? (I've tried to contact the National Hobby Association, but they don't write back...)
See more about this national day up on our MiniatureGarden.com website AND I
also wanted a place to thank the fellow miniature gardeners who have donated to National Miniature Garden Month. Thank you again to all who
have donated! And, yes, if you donate, you're name will be up there too!
The spring plants are coming in! We have a unique selection of miniature perennials that will keep…
About This Week's Garden
I have two different sections in my in-ground garden dedicated to the hobby of Fairy Gardening - because we recognize it as a hobby NOT a trend! - this is the corner of one of them. It's part of my study for the Miniature Garden Society where I've "cracked the code" for
an easy to maintain, in-ground fairy garden... a work in progress!
The purple flower is Aubretia or Rock Cress. The gray foliage in the front is Pussy Toes that is about to flower. (Thinkin' of you Barbara! :o)
The spindly-looking tree behind the chair is Corokia or Wire-Netting Bush and those big rosettes in front are Hens and Chicks.
Mother's Day is
May 14th! (Let us know if you need an order faster.)

you, this took about 17 attempts to get her to sit like that. :o)
We have been serving the Miniature Garden Hobby since 2001.
Shipping all year 'round from USDA Zone 7, Seattle, Washington, in the Northwest corner of the USA.

info!)
-> Via Phone - 206-352-0494 ~ We are in Seattle, 3 hours behind east coast time. We no longer have regular office hours, please leave a
message.
All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on
shipping, we will.

We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color, gender, politics, religion or who they love. Viva la
difference! If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live.
We believe in Truth,
Freedom, Oneness, Kindness & Love!
