Happy President's Day Weekend   Hi !  I hope this finds you enjoying the winter in your area! I'm patiently waiting for spring as I watch the 'rounds of robins' exploring my garden as my spring bulbs poke up through the soil, getting bigger each day despite the cold weather.  The Camelia and Magnolia trees are budding away, in fact all the trees are starting to get that flush of budding-color that's gives me hope that spring will be here soon... On Monday, it'll be exactly one month until the Spring Equinox. I hope you're hanging tight for spring too!  A Presidential Weekend Means...  So, it's President's Day weekend here in the US which, in actuality, really means the big box store sales and a holiday on Monday. (Forget the politics!) I hope the international subscribers will forgive this indulgence - we
like to celebrate any holiday! Lol! And the post office will be closed on Monday if you're ordering.  Winter Maintenance But Not Really!  If you're still in the thick of winter, let your plants and trees stay under the snow. On the warm days, the snowmelt will water them. On the colder days the snow acts as an insulator to protect the plants. This is especially important if the temps dip dramatically at night. You can also use boughs, burlap or upside down poly-pots on the plants to protect them overnight - just remember to take off the
covering during the day.Â

And over on our Youtube channel... Part of my job is getting on social media and sharing what I do. While I'm in introvert that just wants to spend time playing with gardening and miniatures, I "have to" make fun and silly videos to get noticed
on this here Interweb. Please give a thumbs up or a like on these posts so I know I'm at least delivering some fun for YOU! If you're new to my YouTube channel, please look around and subscribe - I've got some oldie-but-goody videos in there for your info-tainment. :o)  Check out my first "short" on Youtube. Yay me. Lol!  Customizing to suit your theme is just one of the many things you can do with this hobby. I used spray paint to turn that white bench blue. Spray in light layers so the paint doesn't gather in
the "wicker" and let the paint dry in between applications. That wee pot is discontinued and I found the cushion at our local dollhouse miniature show.  Pre-order Your Trees for Spring!  It's that time of year again! For subscriber's only!  If you would like to order plants to be delivered when YOUR weather warms up, we're starting to take orders. Purchase reserves the trees and tell us when you would like us to send
them.  This is for the trees and shrubs only, we'll open it up for the ground covers / bedding plants a bit later in the season but they are usually easy to get.  Not all trees and shrubs are available at all times so if you see one that you like, grab it.  The bonsai artists have found us because our plant prices are reasonable and our shipping methods are just awesome
so order early! We'll of course keep the store as stocked-up as much as possible but if you see a tree you love get it while you can. Â And, we'll combine any plant orders and refund the extra postage if you see something later that you like too. Note that we won't know how much to refund until we pack
the box.  See all our plants here, you can shop by zone or by what kind of light you.  Got a question? Hit reply!    Have a great weekend
