Growing New Adventures... Hi , Happy Fall All! We're experiencing a split-personality-season here in Seattle - still! The days hover around the mid-70s with blue sky and sunshine mixed with a dash of smoke from the wildfires. While I'm trying to savor the summer-like weather, I'm also trying to think ahead and collect my tender perennials, put down the garden for the winter, prep the nursery and brace for the
inevitable-annual-flooding-event in the studio. Winter is coming BUT it feels like summer! Lol! I hope your situation isn't as conflicted as mine.
:o) An Alert: Fall is the time where we bring the outdoors inside for the winter to help us stay connected to Ma Nature, and have something
garden-y to play with. But note, not all plants can be grown successfully indoors. Not all plants CAN spend the winter in forced-air, dry heat environment. You'll kill the plant. If it's a Two Green Thumbs' plant, it's likely an outdoor plant but we do have a few plants that can be brought inside. BUT look it up. Google,
"Can _______ be grown indoors?" And it should come up quickly. Or, you can email me about any of our plants here. New Adventures: Up on the Mini Garden Guru blog today, an intro to one of the sections that I'm just getting ready to publish through the Miniature Garden Society - on fairy gardening! It was spurred on by my in-ground miniature garden research, I had more than a few breakthrough insights this past summer that I'm eager to share.
