Mini Fun in the Mini Garden

Hi !

We hope this finds you and yours safe and playing in your miniature garden, staying safe and grounded among your plants and creativity.

It's been pretty quiet around here this week so I'll keep this short and sweet because I know you're busy. Check out the new trees and shrubs in stock today. Fall is coming and it's time to plant again!

PS - So, no one bought us coffee to thank us for all our hard work delivering free inspiration and free info-tainment on gardening in miniature this week. I'm currently considering a job a Target... Lol! :o)

I made the Tiki bar from scrap wood and driftwood. Two-part Epoxy works well for this type of application. You can use hot-glue, which makes it faster and fun to do, but the hot glue won't last long in the living miniature garden, with the dampness.

Frosty Tub o' Beverages - Always a handy thing to have around the garden: your favorite drink, ready and waiting for you in a tub of ice. Nice.

Trees! Trees ! Trees!

Variegated Boxwood - A favorite and it's one of few plants that you can bring inside for the winter! Hardy to -20F if you want to leave it outside.

Thyme Leaf Cotoneaster - We love this wee shrub! Blooms in the spring. The flowers turn into red berries (inedible) and last throughout the winter. They look like miniature apples. Prune anytime. Hardy to -20F.

Tompa Dwarf Spruce - A true dwarf spruce that gradually grows an awesome trunk and thick branches. Can last for years in a container. Hardy to -40F.

Pancake Juniper - A fun, very low growing ground cover Juniper. Green in the summer, purple tones in the winter where the temperatures are nice and cold. Hardy to -40F.

Duflon Alpine Fir - A rare and true miniature fir, coveted by collectors and bonsai artists. Grows about 1' per year. It's hardy to -40F but keep this one close because it's so tiny!

Another Miniature Tiki Garden from the archives from 2013. The grassy plant in the upper left is a dwarf Lirope - which I can't seem to find again. Clockwise from there is the Blue Moon Cypress, Compressa Cypress, Wooley Thyme below it and cobweb Houseleeks in the center by the Easter Island statue. Note that not all plants are available at all times.

We ship internationally (- but not the plants!)

All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.

MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our choice to save you money and ship your plants to you safely and quickly. :o)
