Hi !
I hope this finds you cool and content! We're headed into a weekend of triple digits here in the PNW so we spent the week changing over the nursery area to "summer." Which really means putting up shade cloths and switching the nursery stock over to the bark-mulch-beds to help their little roots stay cool and damp. More on heatwaves below!
Now that we're vaccinated and are getting back to normal (whatever that might mean,) I'm re-inspired to pick up where I left off with my digital work. Not only is the Miniature Garden
Society a testament to my insanity, obsessiveness with this hobby, my not-so-new-now ebook series is also another way for you to see what I think about, oh maybe, all the time... Lol!
Dig-in, you'll see my focus was this ebook this week as I've got several new religious figures up in the store this week, as well as some new miniature shrines which are really cool.
Oh, and July 4th is coming up fast! Get your Mini USA Flag Banner ready to go with this fun DIY printable download - just add glue and string. It's a fun project to do in the garden while your sipping your favorite, ice-cold drink.
Thank you for your support, kinds notes and kudos, Cyndi, Vicki and Saralyn! My fellow MGs always know when to send me a kind note to cheer me and inspire me - just when I need it most. For that, I am very grateful. <3
Whatever you do make it fun - and let's keep it fun,
Janit Calvo, Head MG, Owner
Two Green Thumbs Living Miniature Garden Center
ABOVE: Some religious figures are just too pretty. I'm not very religious but I certainly love this faux-marble Lady of Grace statue in this photo. The flowering shrub to her left is an Alpine Spirea. On the right is the Compact Boxwood. Miniature Daisies at her feet. Sweet.

Dwarf Junipers - Are awesome full-sun, drought-tolerant plants for the
miniature garden that can take the heat in containers for most areas. I've put the heat zones in all the plant listings so you can really drill-down on the right plants. To find your heat zone, ask the Google, "What is the heat zone for [zip code.]"
We have FIVE different kinds in stock this week. The above Compressa Juniper (can stay in a container for about 5 years, give or take.) The Mother Lode Juniper, a ground cover* that LOVES containers and can stay in one for years. A new Juniper, the Glomerata, which is totally adorable already and a ground cover* too. And, lastly, the Golden Joy Juniper, a popular
bonsai subject so you KNOW it's great for miniature gardening!
*Our ground cover shrubs are awesome for gardening in miniature because they stay low and spread their branches slowly outwards. In general, you can re-direct this branching whichever way you wish, or prune a branch or two out or back from the patio to maintain your garden design.

ABOUT OUR SHIPPING:
We ship internationally (- but not the plants!)
All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on
shipping, we will.
MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound
gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our choice to save you money and ship your plants to you safely and quickly.
:o)
We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color,
gender, politics, religion or who they love.
Viva la difference!
If we were all the same, the world would be a
very, very boring place to live.
We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
