Spooky & Fun
Miniature Halloween Ideas

Hi ,
I hope this finds you and yours safe and well.
If you're like me, I bet you're "a bit spun" with everything that is going on these days and in need of a break somehow. So, in an effort to avoid the "Netfilx & Wine" alternative to drown out the din, which, I might add is VERY tempting but you KNOW it's not sustainable, :o) I hope to inspire you to get your hands
busy by creating creative alternatives to keep your head creative and your heart filled with the joy of making something with your hands - and that is good for your soul too!
And, besides, Halloween is NEXT weekend! There is STILL time to have mini garden laughs and giggles!!!
AND BEFORE you go and say, "Well, I can't do that, I'm not as talented as you, Janit!" I want to quote President Obama and say, "Don't make best be the enemy of the better." Meaning to not let perfection get in the way of making something. You will get better each time you practice but, just starting "it," is
the only way to make the best.
So grab a pumpkin and a cuppa and read on...
Please stay safe, stay grounded & stay creative with a lil' miniature gardening.
Whatever you do make it fun,
ABOVE: A spooky miniature Halloween pumpkin house in the miniature garden. After being in a miniature garden for years, some of your trees will get too leggy if they are left to grow - but they'll make a PERFECT canopy for the garden bed and you get to show off a little trunk too... :o)
PS - A BIG miniature garden Shout Out to Teresa from Bowen Island in BC, (Hello Canada!) to Jane from NY, Josette from CA and to Sue from here in WA state - who bought us yummy coffees (!!<3) to thank us for all our hard work delivering free inspiration and free info-tainment on gardening in miniature. Thank you for your support! We appreciate it! :o)
It's a Blue Moon
next Friday! Let our new Wolf Metal Garden Art Silhouette help you bay at it! It happens when there are two full moons in one
month - the second is called a blue moon. So, just for the record and taken literally, to do something 'once in a blue moon" means they'll do it every 32 months or every 2 to 3 years. :o)

With all the different-sized pumpkins available these days, you can make yourself your own house, greenhouse or neighborhood AND have small pumpkins for the front stoop. The pumpkin house above is about 12-13 inches tall.
All the tiny pumpkins are lit with rice lights. Find them in the christmas decor section of any store. Online they are called "rice lights" or LED lights. Get the ones that plug-in if you can, they are the easiest and last the longest.

Above: from the archives, 2009. More quick, spooky, Halloween notes:
- if you want really tiny pumpkins to carve, you'll have to grow them yourself
- the smaller the pumpkin the quicker it will decay
- the warmer the climate the quicker it will decay
- the more windows, doors, or cut-outs, the quicker it will decay
- put the pumpkin on a ceramic plate if using indoors, it will weep moisture.
So if you are having a Halloween party, carve the bigger pumpkins the day before and carve the tiny ones the same day to avoid disappointment. The cooler you can keep the pumpkins, the longer they will last.

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITES:
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online
store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the
term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our
choice to save you money, ship your plants to you safely and quickly. :o)
We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color, gender, politics or religion. Viva la difference! If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live.
We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
REMINDER: This email is not spam. You are receiving this because you signed up for it and then you confirmed your subscription through your own email.
