Hi ,
I hope this finds you and yours safe and well.
Well, it seems we've been "sent to our rooms" AGAIN by the smoke here in Seattle so I couldn't spend a lot of time outside - so I thought to do a trip down memory lane with the photos this week. I hope you enjoy them.
And, I woke up singing, "We need a little Christmas, right this very minute!" but Steve said it was too early for that. So obviously I'm still on about escapism and "getting away from it all" without leaving the house. :o) Here's quick blog on that.
Remember that fall is the BEST time to plant an in-ground garden. See why in the blog-link here: How to Save Time & Money on Miniature Gardening. And ANYTIME is a great time to plant a container, which makes this hobby super-fun and super-accessible as usual.
Lots more below, including more Halloween fun with a blog-post full of ideas!
Please stay safe, stay grounded & stay creative with a lil' miniature gardening - and please be kind to one another, we are all in this one world together.
Whatever you do make it fun,
ABOVE: From August, 2004. A water bowl drilled for drainage. Two cypress flanks a cotoneaster in the middle. I wouldn't do this combo now. That yellow grassy plant is a Miniature Sweet Flag that needs moisture and shade - and I have it planted with sun-loving plants that need the soil around their roots to dry out to barely damp between waterings. The patio made of broken marble tile
and "locked-in" with our exclusive Mini Patio Mix
PS - A big miniature garden THANK YOU to Suzanne from GA, Pam from OH, Kae from NY and Paris from CA who bought
us a coffees to thank us for all our hard work delivering free inspiration and free info-tainment on gardening in miniature. Thank you Christy! :o)

More from the archives: This miniature garden went to the Oregon coast. Made around 2004 as well. On the left, with the sprays of branches is a Shimpaku Juniper. Behind that - I can't see
to find the name as it's not grown any more but I think it's a Chabo Yadori Hinoki Cypress. On the right is a Cumulus Sawara Cypress. More marble tile was used here and locked in with our Mini Patio Mix.
Design Tip: This is often used in full-sized gardening ~> to curve the path so you can't see where it ends. It leads the viewer down the path and creates a bit of wonder - they'll be wondering where it ends. :o)
A HUGE AND VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU
TO ALL THE FIRST RESPONDERS
AND THE PEOPLE ON THE FRONT LINES!
YOU ARE PERMANENTLY IN OUR PRAYERS.
( And thank you for your orders to help us stay open too!
Without you, we would not be able to do this! )
Happy Miniature Gardening!
From the Archives: Bird's eye view of a miniature garden I made for a client. She wanted lots of space to entertain. Our favorite Variegated English Boxwood trees, with Dwarf Mondo Grass and Corsican Mint. This can be grown outdoors (hardy to -20F) or indoors with plenty of added light. (Add light with grow-bulbs that fit into regular
lamps.)

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITES:
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online
store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the
term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our
choice to save you money, ship your plants to you safely and quickly. :o)
We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color, gender, politics or religion. Viva la difference! If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live... We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
REMINDER: This email is not spam. You are receiving this because you signed up for it and then you confirmed your subscription through your own email. If you do not want this newsletter, we'll be sad to see you go, you will miss out on a lot of upcoming fun with this new hobby, and you'll have a hard time finding a better hobby, but please unsubscribe using the link
below.
