Happy Father's Day!
Happy Solstice!

Hi ,
I hope this finds you safe, healthy and enjoying the last of the spring weather. We've all of a sudden have summer weather here in Seattle! At the start of the week is was cool, rainy and mid-fifties - also known as "June-uary." Now it's muggy and 80 degrees outside but hey, I'll take it!
A big, warm and fuzzy Happy Dad's Day to all the fathers out there! And a big Happy Solstice to everyone! Are you ready for the summer?
Today, I'm continuing my series: I'm using the same miniature garden and decorating it monthly. Today, it's Dad's turn! Now that we're at a half-way point in the year, I'll make time to get the first 6 gardens into a blog this week so those that missed it can see what we've been up to. Scroll through this Gazette and find tidbits of insight and info to see if there are any
ideas that you want to add to your miniature garden.
Stay safe, stay healthy, get outside and stay grounded with Ma Nature and a lil' miniature gardening!
Whatever you do make it fun,
ABOVE: That is a Lemon Cypress (aka Monteray Cypress,) with Dwarf London Pride Saxifrage (rosettes,) Blue Star Creeper (larger leaves,) and Baby Tears. The Baby Tears is the least hardy, so that makes this garden hardy to Zone 7.
PS - Love to lurk? Recently, it was brought to our attention that there are a number of you that love to lurk - which we love to hear, but we love our customers dearly because they help us keep this Mini Garden Gazette free for everyone! Effort takes time and money and new ideas can chip away at any budget. So, if you are not a customer, how about
a coffee or
two to thank us for all our free Infotainment that we provide throughout this Gazette and all our websites and social channels? It's easy to do, click here and we'll thank you in next
week's Gazette! It all goes toward the gardening in miniature hobby!
The Tattooed Gnome - Is custom-painted by me. I originally did him up for the residents at the Old Soldier Home just south of the city where we have a big miniature garden installation. I rotate the accessories for the guys down
there and this gnome has been staying home with me during the shut down.
It was a "normally" painted gnome before I got hold of it. Heh, heh, heh... :o)
Using acrylic paint, I painted his sleeves and pants skin-color* before I took my set of fine Sharpie markers to the arms and legs to make it look like tattoos. The sheen of the black acrylic paint looked so much like leather and added to the fun. I clear-coated it after everything was dry with a spray Polyurethane to help keep the colors from fading but you can see his right arm is due for a re-tattoo.
*I mixed my own skin-color with white paint with a hint cherry-red and just a touch of cyan-blue - just a touch! Put down a tiny bit of white paint on your palette first and add the other colors very gradually. The addition of the tiny bit of blue paint will turn the pink paint that pasty, Irish skin color. (Spoken like a true Irish gal! Lol!)

There is a LOT of fun in the details!
A good way to keep track of them is to collect them BEFORE your husband "mows and blows" the lawn - or it's a quick way to lose them. Lol! Speaking from experience. That pillow isn't waterproof either so I make sure to avoid it whenever I water this miniature garden. That's Daisy, digging in the garden! Click the pic to see her in the store.

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITES:
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online
store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the
term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our
choice to save you money, ship your plants to you safely and quickly. :o)
We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color, gender, politics or religion. Viva la difference! If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live... We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
