"It's the Little Things..."

Hi ,
"It's the little things..." as Fellow MG, Dena said in her email this week and I tend to agree - in more ways than just miniature gardening! I hope you and yours are safe and healthy and enjoying your miniature gardening wherever you are!
Thank you Pam, Dori and Jennifer for your awesome ideas for our monthly miniature garden series! I now have some new ideas and I'm rekindling some old ideas thanks to 'yous' - I appreciate it! <3
Dig in. I've got a fun lil' how-to, a follow up of our July Fourth garden, as well as some new accessory and plant ideas for your mini garden pleasure. I know a lot of you are in a heatwave, so I've reposted my blog on watering tips to help you and your gardens (of all-sizes,) through it.
For the new miniature gardeners, I'm getting a lot of new gardener questions which is fantastic! Welcome to the world of gardening in miniature! I've dusted off my Miniature Gardening 101 Series from my Mini Garden Guru blog that will step you through all the garden basics that will help answer your questions - starting with "The Dirt on the Soil." Please leave any questions in the comments on the blog so others can see (a) what I've missed! :o) and (b) the answer just in case they have the same
question.
Please stay safe, stay healthy, stay grounded & stay creative with Ma Nature and a lil' miniature gardening. And, during this trifecta of issues that we are wading through and trying to solve, please stay kind to each other. We are all going through "something" during this weird period in history and, with a little grace - okay, sometimes a LOT of grace - is needed and please have
faith that we will get through it to a better place. <3
Whatever you do make it fun - with a little love,
ABOVE: An older miniature garden that can't remember when I planted it but you might recognize it from the May Day Gazette. That little tree in the back, left, is an Abbott's Pygmy Hemlock and to the right of it, is a Hebefolia Hemlock. The ground covers have woven themselves together: Irish moss, mini calla lilies, alpine ferns, miniature daisies and Hardy to

PS - Love to lurk? Recently, it was brought to our attention that there are a number of you that love to lurk - which we love to hear, but we love our customers dearly because they help us keep this Mini Garden Gazette free for everyone!
Anything NEW takes time, energy and money and new ideas can chip away at any budget.
So, if you are not a customer, how about a coffee or two to thank us for all our free infotainment that we provide throughout this Gazette and all our websites and social channels? It's easy to do, click here and we'll thank you in next week's Gazette! It all goes toward the gardening in miniature hobby!

A Quick How-To For Your Miniature Garden!
Create your own patterns on the seat cushions!
The cushions that come with these white wire benches are meant for the dollhouse miniaturist to re-upholster to match their dollhouse or roombox. BUT for OUR mini gardening purposes, that process involves finding fabric, the right glue for fabric & outdoors, and dealing with the learning curve of making miniature upholstery (which takes trial and error - speaking
from experience - I have yet to master it.)
SO. Leave it to Yours Truly to find a fun and quick way to fix that problem. Lol! (I often wonder if I'm just lazy instead of "very creative." :o)
Now go find your fine-tipped Sharpies!
Shown in the second photo is the underside of the cushion where you can experiment with how the ink goes onto the fabric. The thicker markers will "run" more than the fine-tipped. You can define any broad stroke with a skinner line. Wait after each stroke to see how the ink runs before doing more.
Now before you start emailing me, there are sealants that you can seal the fabric with first, that won't make the ink run, but I'm almost certain it can't get wet afterwards. So, I kept this super-simple - just the ink and the fabric - because I know this lil' cushion can take a little accidental watering from time to time. And the same if you seal it afterwards. It might get messy when it gets wet.
One of my mottos is the KISS technique = Keep It Super Simple!

I kept forgetting that I put a light-up necklace around my July Fourth tree! So here it is all lit-up and pretty. I found the necklace at my local Rite-Aid, as soon as they put out the July 4th decor in the early
spring.
A HUGE AND VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITES:
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
MORE ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: There is some confusion when checking out of our online
store and seeing the shipping option of "Priority Mail." Priority Mail is the
term the United States Post System calls their services. Anything over 1 pound gets shipped by Priority Mail. They have done-away with Parcel Post. ~> It does not mean you get "priority" over anyone else's order. It's just what they call it. We are not able to send any order over a pound any other way. We choose to stay with USPS because they are least expensive, 98% reliable and they usually get your orders to you within 3 days at most. We've priced other services and USPS is our
choice to save you money, ship your plants to you safely and quickly. :o)
We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color, gender, politics or religion. Viva la difference! If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live... We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
REMINDER: This email is not spam. You are receiving this because you signed up for it and then you confirmed your subscription through your email. If you do not want this newsletter, we'll be sad to see you go, you will miss out on a lot of upcoming fun with this new hobby, and you'll have a hard time finding a better hobby, but please unsubscribe using the link
