Hi ,
We hope this finds you and you're safe and healthy and enjoying the spring wherever you are. It's been c-c-cold here in Seattle so if you do have spring weather, please send some over here! "They" aren't calling the coolest spring on record but I am. Brrrr! Thankfully our plants don't care and everything is budding and bursting around the nursery!
The Spring Sale is Extended One More Week! Use the code SPRINGISHERE to get 20% off selected items including accessories, patio materials and
supplies. (Minimum order $20, you can use it more than once, share it with anyone, expires 3/31/20) Here's a link that will automatically do it for you:

Thank you to all the nurses, doctors, healthcare workers, first responders, scientists, lab workers, store clerks and everyone who is on the front lines. We simply can't thank you enough for all you are doing
for us!! <3
Stay safe, stay positive by staying busy and creative, then nap. :o)
Whatever you do make it fun,
About the Garden Above: Part of a series for the Mini Garden Guru blog where I took the same garden and decorated it throughout the year. The taller tree is a Compressa Juniper. To the left of it is the Blue Moon Cypress. Dwarf Lily Turf on the very left and in front, a blend of Woolly Thyme and Dwarf Hens and Chicks. I would say this garden would be hardy to about Zone 4 or around -20F to
-30F.
PS - Thank you Kae from New York State!! Kae “bought us coffee” last week to thank us for
all our hard work in bringing this hobby to the forefront. Thank you Kae! <3
Mugo Pines Back in Stock - I haven't found out yet why the growers don't have a lot of mugo
pines available lately - we've been missing them these past few seasons, but I did find two different dwarf mugo pines for you. We have the Valley Cushion Mugo Pine and the Slowmound Mugo Pine.
Mugo pines are favorites for miniature gardening for many reasons. These wee shrubs are VERY HARDY to -40F to -50F, they don't mind their roots crowded being in a container for years, AND they grow up to be awesome-looking trees in miniature.
They can handle hot sun and dry soil if established in the garden bed - just be sure to not leave them too dry for too long if they are in containers. Pair them with sedums, Hens and Chicks or any of the Thyme ground covers for a hardy, full-sun mini garden.

More LIVE Lessons on
Miniature Gardening!
I feel like I've released my inner video star. Lol! I was SO nervous about doing live videos on my socials for soooo long, it started to be detrimental to my business. Now, I've got ideas for video lessons stacked-up to 2030. It's too fun! :o)
I'm continuing the series of live videos, my NEXT video is this TUESDAY, April 7th, around noon, PST time.
You'll find the replays of the three previous live lessons up in our Two Green Thumbs'
Facebook page - just scroll down a bit. The first one is about the plants we use, the second is about the accessories and what works, and the one from last week is a demonstration on how I build a miniature garden that will last.
WORKAROUND: Not on Facebook? Grab a free email address from Gmail.com and register with FB that way. You don't have to use your real name either. Apparently Facebook has thousands of anonymous users so we're not tricking anyone by doing this. (For even less tracking by FB, log-in to Facebook by using your browser, like Chrome or
Explorer, and don't use any apps - just use the browser.)
THIS WEEK - a live demo from one of the
Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book projects.
(I'm having a hard time deciding which one... so tune-in to see! :o)
If you have set up your alerts for either social channel apps, you'll get the alert that I'm on live. I think you can get the replays anytime providing I can press the right buttons after I'm done - which I hope to.
I don't know the exact time because I'm flying solo - so it might be around noon or 1ish! Pacific Standard Time is THREE hours behind east-coast time.

This was the miniature garden I built for last week's live demo on IG and FB. Find that Rabbit Bench up in the store, it's discontinued so when this supply is gone, it's gone. That is an older Elf Dwarf Spruce in the middle, hardy to -20F. The flowering bush on the right is Natalie Heather - I think we are sold out but I will look for more, I heart them. Dwarf Mondo Grass (hardy to -10F) on the left and that handsome Red Thyme (hardy to -30F) in the front, right. Find most of the plants up in the online store.

Happy Birthday Steve! I posted a note this morning, asking my followers on Instagram and Facebook to help wish Steve a happy birthday and got a ton of responses!! Lol! We can't celebrate
like we usually so I'm stuck at home trying to make it special - and I did thanks to everyone!!
ABOVE: A blast from the past! This birthday garden photo was taken in 2004 at the Fremont Sunday Market, where we got our start. We vended there for years and unknowingly introduced the hobby to tourists from all over the world, as well as our fellow Seattleites, of course. That's a Jean's Dilly Dwarf Spruce in the center. The ground covers that I used here don't really work well in the miniature garden bed for very long so I'll skip naming them. I
found the sign in a confetti pack at a party supply store. I made the presents myself. I forget where I got that cake... mmmm... birthday cake... Lol! :o)
A HUGE AND VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU
TO ALL THE FIRST RESPONDERS
AND THE PEOPLE ON THE FRONT LINES!
YOU ARE PERMANENTLY IN OUR PRAYERS.
( And thank you for your orders to help us stay open too!
Without you, we would not be able to do this! )
Happy Miniature Gardening!

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITES:
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
REMINDER: This email is not spam. You are receiving this because you signed up for it and then you confirmed your subscription through your email. If you do not want this newsletter, we'll be sad to see you go, you will miss out on a lot of upcoming fun with this new hobby, and you'll have a hard time finding a better hobby, but please unsubscribe using the link
below.
