Hi ,
Okay, I went a little bit nutty with this Galentine's Day miniature garden! It's not like me to completely bury the plants but once I went down that path.. there was no going back. I had to take one for the team. Lol!
And then I learned that Galentine's Day (a day for ladies celebrating ladies,) was yesterday! Well, I just gave myself points for trying and thought you still might like to see my she-she-garden. :o)
Take note of the couple of blogs listed below - they reflect my inbox this week and you might be asking yourself the same questions.
ALSO - this is the time of year when you shear your trees and shrubs to keep them bushy and colorful. If they are looking unkempt or leggy, they may need a trim or a gentle shear. Hit the reply and let me know if you have any questions about any of your Two Green Thumbs' plants - it's a broad topic and not all trees will like to be shaped. (Send a photo if you can't remember the name.)
MORE new trees and plants are coming in on Monday! If you're not ready for any plant material right now, you can order them now and we'll ship them to you when you are ready. We do this "purchase reserves the trees" because not all trees are available at all times and it gives you a chance to get the spring trees while you're still "in winter."
Thank you for reading!
Whatever you do make it fun,
~~~
PS - A miniature garden THANK YOU to Joni in Everett, a fellow MG, who “bought us coffee” this week. Thank you! <3
About the Galentine Garden
About the plants: The tree is a Wilma Monteray Cypress (also goes by several other names, including Lemon Cypress because when you rub the leaves, it smells like lemon!) I just trimmed it to stay that tight cone shape.
Dwarf Mondo Grass is in the back with some dwarf Saxifrage and Baby Tears
About the Accessories: The overload of accessories will have to get packed up sooner rather than later. Most of the fun miniatures, the Shih Tzu & blanket, crate-table, dishes & cupcake, shoes, flower basket and cup & saucer bird feeders will NOT like get wet at all and any moisture will ruin them.
Also, all the flowers and frou-frou on the tree will block the light and eventually turn the leaves brown so I'll take those off as well. Look forward to seeing the refreshed garden next month - I think I'm on a roll with this one this year!
ABOUT OUR SHIPPING: We ship internationally (- but not the plants!) All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping
calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
