Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hi ,

I'm back and Happy Labor Day! I hope you don't have to labor too much!

It's actually raining here in Seattle! I'm excited. Lol! If I wasn't writing to you, I would be out dancing in it. I think I can hear the garden drinking... August is normally our driest month here in Seattle but our area in South Seattle, it seems to never get much rainfall at all.

And speaking of rain - and we're talking way too much of it here: we're watching the path of Hurricane Dorian this weekend along with the rest of America. We hope our fellow miniature gardeners in Florida and on the east coast are safe and comfortable.

Meanwhile, I've got eye candy! I've got new trees! New shrubs! New furniture! And then some! Grab a cuppa and settle in - I've found some blogs in the archives that you might find interesting too.

How to Find the Right Plants

The most emailed question that I get is:

How do I find plants for my area?

In 3 Simple Steps:

1. Go to this USDA.gov page, type in your zip code and get your zone.

2. Go to Two Green Thumbs Miniature Garden Center here.

3. Type your zone in the Search, in the upper left corner. Don't use any of the extra letters, just " Zone 5 " or " Zone 9 " (without the quotes,) and all the plants for that zone will come up.

Miniature Pedestal Birdbath - You can use this as a birdbath or put a pretty pot on it and use it as a pedestal. Sweet!

Wilma Lemon Cypress - I always think of the Flintstones when I hear the name Wilma! Oops, me thinks I've shown my age. Lol! This cypress smells like lemon when you crush the leaves. Can be grown indoors in a cool spot but adjust your watering when the heat goes on later in the season because it'll dry out faster. ;o)

Miniature Garden Ponds - Made in the USA! - Sturdy, weatherproof and realistic. The only thing that makes our exclusive line of ponds any better is that they are made in Montana!
