The Alpine Water Fern looking lovely in the morning light. It not really a "water plant" - it was named for growing along creek edges. I've had this in full, cool sun too, but it needs to stay watered. By planting it in the shade or part shade, that helps to keep the soil evenly damp. (Here's is an easy light chart if you're not up to speed on what "cool sun" and "part sun" is - here.)
