Hi ,
I hope this finds you enjoying the start of the summer because its "thee" time to play with your miniature gardening!
You might have heard me say this before but one of the reasons I was so enamored with joining my two favorite hobbies, gardening and miniatures, was so I could sit and play in the garden at any time of year.
You see, a full-sized gardener's main seasons are the spring and fall. Most gardeners like to get everything in the ground and growing before the July 4th weekend so they can sit back and enjoy their labor for the rest of the summer whilst chomping on a tomato or two.
But that wasn't good enough for me.
I love to garden and be IN the garden. So, when I finally got my own full-sized plot to plant when I settled down with Steve in 1998, I realized that when July arrived, I wanted to still garden with something! Anything! But they plants were happily growing and no longer needed my attention save for watering. Sigh...
And yeah, I could sit and enjoy the garden sure, but my need to create simply won't let me sit for too long without feeling the urge to be constructive. And some might call that an addiction to being busy, but they probably don't know how grounding and nurturing growing your own world and being creative can be.
So, cue gardening in miniature! Now we all can stay in the garden and play in the garden whenever we want, nurture our creative-side and inspire ourselves again and again.
Because that's just how we roll.

Happy Summah!
