Summer is Coming!

Hi ,

Happy First Sign of Summer!

I just finished setting up and taking this photo when the rains came this afternoon here in south Seattle. Whew! You can see how dark it is - I didn't adjust the exposure. I'll start the hot chocolate if you can turn on the heat. Lol! Brrrr!!

I hope you have put aside some time this long weekend to enjoy the things that make you happy. I'm realizing that a little less "social media-ing" and a little more gardening is much better for my attitude, health and well-being. Now if the weather would just cooperate!

We have a few new plants and trees this week - some true miniature perennials are back in stock and they are looking lovely!

Crimson Red Star - Pretty bright pink blooms last a long time. Gently pull the spent flowers as you see them to encourage more blooming. The foliage is a great texture too!

Miniature Iris! - They are baaaack: The tiny leaves on this mini Iris are PERFECT! It's just a fun plant because you just don't expect it to look like a miniature version of the full-sized thing. Lol! The flower, however, is a bit big but we'll forgive it. :)

Miniature Bird Houses - There are a couple of different kinds that are staked on a tall rod so you can adjust the height however you want in your miniature garden design.

Golden Devine Barberry - And speaking of color! I've been seeing the gold barberries in around town in the full-size landscapes and boy, are they troupers! Tough, full sun, drought tolerant and COLOR that stays until winter!

Micro Mini Pebbles - Authentic & pretty! Micro pebbles in a combination of green, cream, gray and tan colors that are the perfect scale for any miniature garden.
