Hi ,
What a busy week we had getting ready for the "monsoon
rains" and the "pineapple express" that we were supposed to have here in Seattle! We prepped the studio for flooding, we cleaned up all the gardens and the nursery area, took down the shade house, put away the hoses and set up our "out-riggers" to get the rainwater away from the house because it was supposed to rain more than our 6 rain barrels can handle.
I cleaned up our in-ground miniature garden to set up and photograph our miniature halloween house. Shot a bunch of video of it for future use in the Miniature Garden Society - only to have to disassemble it before it got soaked in the "storm" that was predicted...
But nothing came our way. In fact it's sunny today where we are.
Other areas to the north and south of us got it. We were in the rain shadow created by the Olympic mountains to the west that happens
from time to time. Lol & DOH!
The one thing that sticks in my craw is that I could have left my miniature Halloween house set up for the kids to see on the 31st - but I didn't. Because they said it would rain. But it didn't! Arg! Perhaps I'll quit my job, buy a dart
board and become a meteorologist in the PNW. Lol!
We have some eye candy for you though! Thanks for being a Mini Garden Gazette reader!
Whatever you do,
make it fun,
