Your Mini Garden Gazette
Thank a Vet! Thank a
Soldier!
**Photos May Take a Moment to Load** Hi ,
Remember to thank a veteran &/or a soldier this weekend! I always say that if we were all alike, the world would be a boring place to live. But any kind of soldier has my utmost respect and admiration. Freedom is not free - please remember extend your thanks to the family and friends that support our military
too.
Above: Our Miniature Garden installation created by the Miniature Garden Society at the Washington Old Soldier's Home in Orting, about 45 minutes south of Seattle. We visited this week, pulled a few weeds, raised the patio and installed a pond - all in
about 25 minutes. Lol! We also had the chance to meet the new Guardian of the Garden that took over from Gus who passed in the summer. His name is Kaiser and he's a hoot! I'll get a photo of him next time.
Now that it's been over a year, it was planted in May,
2017, we can start to compare the photos and put them in sequence so we can see how the garden has grown and changed. I'll get on that for you!
Thank you to all who serve, who have served and all who support
them!
Whatever you do, make it fun,
We "installed" a pond that Steve made at a ceramics course
many years ago. Whew! It was hard work and took about 5 minutes to do. Lol!
After confusing
several newcomers as to what is what because we've been growing and evolving online for 14 years now, here's a breakdown on all our websites and services:
Janit & Two Green
Thumbs on Etsy - Our etsy store is where we put the weird and wonderful, our odd miniature finds and also our bestselling items that we've stood by for well over a decade.
The Mini Garden Guru Blog - The only blog consistently posting, teaching and sharing the gardening in miniature hobby, since 2008.
The Miniature Garden Society - The only place for like-minded people
to go to safely share their ideas and get support for all things miniature garden. It's a paid-membership website that has fellow miniature gardeners from all over the world in it.
The Mini Garden Gazette - You're reading it now. :o) It's the only newsletter published on the gardening in miniature hobby, since 2004. It's free and it's sent out every Friday.
And then we have our social media channels that are linked below. Whatever
major channel you are one, we are on it too, just do a search for Two Green Thumbs or Janit Calvo and you'll reach our pages.
If you enjoy our work but are not a customer yet, you can still support us by:
- Shopping at our online stores, - Giving us a "like" or "favorite" on any social channel - By sharing any of our posts or items with your friends - By giving us a review on
our Facebook page

The Dwarf Beech is still holding on to its leaves. Thomas, another one of the residents that cares for the miniature garden mentioned
that he doesn't need to see so much patriotic items in the garden so we toned it down for this Veteran's Day. In this photo, a simple swing gives them a place to hang out.

~~~~~~ Shipping News: All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly. WHY? Because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which
costs more. And Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will. TwoGreenThumbs.com |
