Hi ,

You know, I think the fall might be my new favorite season of the year - until spring comes around again that is! Lol! I'm betting you've had your fill of "summer weather" too and you are itching to get back into the garden. Now all we need here in the PNW is rain. We don't ask for much..

The miniature garden above is the SAME garden that is on the cover of my first Gardening in miniature book. I had this tree in my in-ground garden before we bought our house in 2010. It's about 18 years old. I think I'll have to turn it upside-down to check out the rootball to see the condition of the soil and how it's roots are doing. Stay tuned! Oh, the Elfs are back in stock this week.

Primo Arborvitae - A true miniature arborvitae! Grows slowly and its hardy to -40F. It keeps that really handsome shape and it's a perfect anchor tree for the miniature garden.
