Happy Summer! I hope your holiday week was all it could be - and now it's the weekend - yay! Lol! It's funny how we never lose that TGIF feeling, eh?

Today we celebrate the World Cup. I hope your favorite team is still in the game - our USA team never made it in. Lol! (What is up with that anyway? When do we NOT make it into anything like this?) This is the same miniature garden that I used for the cover of the first Gardening in Miniature book - this photo was taken a couple of years prior.

AND this happened: our very own Barbara Gerow of the Miniature Garden Society made the local headlines with her miniature gardens. See the fun photos of her gardens and her fur-babies - and there's a short video so you can meet her too. Way to go Barbara! See it here.

Butter Ball Hinoki Cypress - Check out that green color! The Butter Ball will get more yellow in the sun and greener in shade. Very pretty. We expect to see the trunk gradually lift the canopy up and we should see some branching in a couple/few years. Let us know if you have any miniature garden questions! We're realizing just how many different kinds of gigs we've done over the years to earn a living from what we love to do and - holey-moley!! Photo Bombed. Lol! Our dog Kitty, likes to get in the way with almost everything out in the garden. She turned 5 on July 2nd! We can now keep our miniature accessories out in the miniature gardens but she still finds my staked driftwood stumps which makes me a bit nervous. She keeps us laughing though! <3
