Connecting the
Dots
It's that time of year when we get questions from the southern states, asking about trees that grow in the northern states, and from the northern states, we get questions about whether they can grow outdoor trees inside - like they do in the southern states. I've
wrote about it before on the Mini Garden Guru blog, but here is some insight that will help you get your head around what grows where.
1. How do I know what I can grow in my area? Look around your landscape. You can grow the miniature versions of your landscape-full-sized trees and perennials
safely.
2. Can I bring that plant/mini garden indoors over the winter? Probably not. Have you ever seen "that plant" growing inside? When you google the tree's name for more info, do more than one websites
confirm if it's an indoor or outdoor tree? We mention in all our plant's listings if it's an outdoor plant or indoor one.
3. "This tree better work in my zone." Plants don't work like that, nor can we do
anything about it - especially after you've received your order! We put the cold AND heat zone info in each plant listing to help provide you with all the information you need to find the right plant.
