I'm like a kid in a candy store when the new trees and plants come in from our beloved growers! It's everything I can do to NOT
keep one of each as I'm running out of room in my garden beds. Steve is quick to chime in, "Janit, you have enough plants!" and my response is, "But Steve, I don't have THIS plant." You know you have an obsession when all you really want to do is play in the garden, in any way, and that includes hoarding plants. Lol!
Chicago News....
While I am excited for spring and the new growing season, I do have err on the side of caution and cancel my Chicago gigs, the workshop and lecture at the Chicago Botanical Garden and The Miniature Show. Apologies to all who were counting on me going.
With the
consistent storms and winter weather still happening in the Illinois area, I could not be confident in selling living plants in the middle of a snowstorm. However, Murphy's Law states that the weather will warm up because I cancelled - so those in the Chicago area, you are welcome! Lol!
In all honesty, whenever I send plants to hotels for a show, the boxes tend to be treated as "regular" mail and are
bounced around, dropped, stacked upside-down and shaken-up too much. You'll get much better plants and trees by having us mail you the trees and plants instead.
