 Mini Garden Gazette
New Year = New Ideas!

**Photos may take a moment to load**

Hi ,

Hey, I hope this finds you warm, cozy and doing well despite this weird weather happening across the world. It's quite funny, here in Great Northwest, the entire city shuts down if there is 1" of snowfall. Personally, I stay out of my car and off the streets. Lol!

I actually love snow these days because it means no work for anyone here in Seattle. I recall winters in Toronto where it would snow a foot and yet those over-industrious snow plowers would be out there clearing the street at 5am. I used to see everything cleared and shoveled and think, "Dang - there goes my excuse for not making it to work!"

So this Gazette comes to you a day late but with renewed enthusiasm. I haven't been happy with the new web store design yet, but it works, it's secure and we're still shipping orders daily. I had a breakthrough however, there is now a solution and a plan in place so I'm re-energized. I'm back blogging next week too, email me any questions that you can't find answers too.

And from now on, I will be taking on all technical duties myself so if you see a broken link in any of our websites, and have a moment to email it to me, I'll send you a 20% discount code for your next purchase. Just hit reply!

Coming up is my book tour for the Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop! It starts withe the Northwest Flower and Garden Show in February here in Seattle, then I'm off to the Philadelphia Flower Show in March and The Miniature Show in April AND, a gig that I'm kinda nervous about - my hands get sweaty when I think of it, my very first botanical garden gig at the wonderful Chicago Botanical Garden! (Gulp! Lol!) Show dates are below, more details are coming as soon as I know 'em! Come and meet me! :o)

Thank you for being our subscriber and for all your support and patience with our updates and upgrades.

Whatever you do, make it fun,

Tried, tested and true. Our miniature garden accessories are collected from a wide variety of sources throughout the country. We specialize in realistic garden miniatures made with either authentic materials, like this cedar trellis above, (made in the USA!) and/or materials that weather gracefully, like this "stone" bench, made of resin that is staked to stay put. The miniature tree stump adds age and an air of permanence to any miniature garden scene. It is staked on a rod to stay in place too and available in all three scales.  See all the items in our store here.

Our Beginner Series Starts Here

Experimenting for you! All our plants and trees that we sell have to go through me. I get busy sometimes, as we all do. If a plant can't last a day or so with dry soil, I won't grow it (well, I can't because I always kill the fussy ones, like this one above, ha!) BUT nor will I carry it in my store to sell to you. I found this plant at Trader Joe's last fall and I was doing well maintaining it until the holidays came - then this happened. Aaaah nope. I won't be selling this one. (Arg! I'm perfectly imperfect: I lost the name of it and can't seem to find it in my books if anyone can help me out ~> Janit@TwoGreenThumbs.com )
