Happy Dog Daze of Summer

**Photos may take a moment to load**

Hi ,

"Oh the weather outside is..." Okay, I won't mention the weather any more BUT I will mention the silver lining -- as usual, eh? Lol! Leave it up to your eternal optimist to connect the dots of positivity for you!

So, if you are in the USA  in an area with extreme summer weather, go out and note what plants are working in your garden right now - and note what isn't. It's become particularly interesting (notice I didn't say challenging. ;o) for gardeners to adjust to not only the weird winter weather, but the weirder summer weather too. I'm so grateful that many of the plants that we've been working with over the years are a LOT more immune to whatever-weather than I am!

I hope you are happily working on your miniature gardens and projects. Let us know if you are looking for anything in particular or are in need of anything that you can 't easily find.

Anyone growing any miniature veggies this year? My full-size veggie garden is still in flux so I didn't get a chance to plant any miniature vegetables - but would love to hear if you did?

And hey, forget the weather, there are more important things to do ~> there are still folks out there who have never heard of a miniature garden and YOU can be the one to introduce them to it! Let us know how we can help.

Remember, whatever you do, make it fun,

ABOVE: Our underwater miniature garden from the new Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book. The garden was planted about 6 years ago, the photos in the book were taken about 3 year ago, the photo above was taken yesterday.

New trees are in stock this week. This is the a new dwarf arborvitae, the Malonyana Holub Dwarf Arborvitae is hardy, grows slowly and has an irregular growth shape that is apparently quite endearing.

Does this happen to you too? My dog, Kitty, is always snooping around my stash of twigs and tendrils. She can be seen quietly picking up a twig from my stash and sneaking out of the studio so she can chomp on it. Literally - she tiptoes out so I won't see or hear her. Lol!
