Stopping to Celebrate

**Photos may take a moment to load**

Hi ,

Happy Labor Day Weekend! We have a little reprieve this summer as a good chunk of our Seattle summer weather was served up as a heatwave and garnished with smokey haze from the forest fires all around us. It actually looks like the summer weather is staying with us for at least another month. I'll take it! :o)

We are stopping to celebrate this weekend so I'll keep this short. Be sure to watch the video so you can celebrate too - you're part of this Miniature Garden Movement as well so give yourself some accolades for being on the forefront of garden history!

More fun stuff below! Thanks for reading!

Remember, whatever you do, make it fun,

ABOVE: Getting my video-chops on and exploring different ways to connect with YOU. :o)

Miniature Gardening
on the

Living Homegrown Podcast!

When I first met Theresa Loe over 10 years ago at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show she was pretty quiet about what she was up to. It took a couple of years to get to know her through social media before I found out that she was heavily into miniature gardening with her two sons in California. I was thrilled to have at least one garden professional that "got" what I was doing. We've kept in touch ever since and when she invited me to be on her podcast, I jumped at the chance. Listen to it here.

(PS - Her page/link has a coupon code for the online store, find it here. :o)

FALL IS THE BEST TIME TO PLANT!!

Pre-Bonsai Trees - "Bigger" small trees for larger miniature gardens.

Fairy Fantasy Trees! - Trained as pre-bonsai, hardy, loves containers, can handle full sun and it's drought tolerant.  (Shown above with the spring growth._

Halloween Tree - The Corokia is the PERFECT mini tree for a scary scene!

Blue Planet Miniature Spruce - It's the smallest spruce you'll ever grow!

Fernspray Gold Cypress - One of our faves, grows quickly into a tree form, then keep it trimmed and it will stay small for years.

The Pretty Fernspray Gold Cypress. It turns yellow in the sun, greener in the shade (like the above color,) and wears amber-tones in the cold-winter temperatures. Trim the bottom branches off to show more of the trunk so it will look like a tree in miniature. It's lovely.
