Hi ,
What a weird week! It had some
fun parts and it had some frustrating parts but all-in-all, I think it was a good week. I hope you had the same. We would like to extend our well-wishes and thoughts to the fellow miniature gardeners in Hurricane Harvey's path. Stay safe! And send some of that water up here to the Pacific Northwest - we'll take it!!
We got our fall order of trees early this year. It's one of my favorite deliveries, seeing all the tiny trees tucked into their boxes, ready for their own adventures to your miniature gardens. If you have any questions about which plants will work best for you, hit reply, send us your zip code and we would love to
help.
Recent news has brought this up if you are not familiar with us here at Two Green Thumbs Miniature Garden Center. We welcome all people of all races, colors, creeds, income levels, backgrounds and whatever other qualifications that make
you a human being. We believe in treating people as we would want to be treated and we are against any kind of hate towards anyone or any group of people. If we were all the same, the world would be a very, very boring place to live. Viva la difference!
More fun stuff below! Thanks for reading!
Remember, whatever you do, make it fun,
ABOVE: Watching the eclipse in the miniature garden
I couldn't resist. I had to make a miniature pinhole camera for the eclipse too.
The light from the eclipse cast a completely different shadow. My hands looked weird with the light turning into crescents through my fingers. The second photo shows the sunbeams
through the leaves of a Japanese Maple.
Steve and I began to feel weird as the eclipse reached the peak. The sunlight dimmed and the air temperature suddenly dropped 15 degrees but it was still very bright out in Seattle, even though we had 92% totality. Such a strange feeling! I think I have to position myself to be in the path of the next eclipse in 2024. Meet me? :o)

Too many fake websites and wannabe experts are clogging up the interweb
“Don’t take travel advice from someone who has never left
home.”
An interview with Yours Truly AND a true miniature gardener! (There is a written transcript as well as a coupon code for our store!)

We had our annual inspection from the USDA this week. Cyndi, our agent opened up the new Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book to this page and exclaimed, "It's the invasive brown snail!" Lol! Only a USDA agent, eh? :o) It's from the America chapter where I show you how to preserve and harden the shell before you drill and wire
it.
