 Mini Garden Gazette
Making the Most of Summer!
**Photos may take a moment to load**

Hi ,

Our Seattle weather has returned this week with sunny skies and temperatures in the high seventies. NOW I remember what summer feels like! Hope you are enjoying the August weather where you are.

Head's up about our Miniature Garden Society website - everything has been moved to a better and more reliable host, and all the links should be fixed. Log in and enjoy!

I'm keeping this one short and sweet - it's time to go play in the garden!

Remember, whatever you do, make it fun,

ABOVE: Relaxing in the miniature garden. See our Green & White Hammocks here.

Getting ready for the big eclipse on Monday! Lol! I may have to make myself a pinhole camera though, we haven't found any (full-sized) eclipse glasses yet.

OH DEER! Tips on how to deal with deer and rabbits in your miniature garden, (from The Miniature Garden Society.) See the post up on the Mini Garden Guru blog here. Find the Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book, in full-size and in mini, here.

Look Ma! More miniature daisies! No, my mom doesn't read my Mini Garden Gazettes, I just like saying that. Lol! We found some more at our growers AND they weren't on the availability list either - but we found 'em! They didn't fit in the back of the truck so we had to strap them into the backseat.

These daisies are looooog blooming! The only caveat is they don't like the hot weather. I've had to replace some of mine that we had planted in the full sun during this last heatwave in Seattle - we just couldn't keep them happy. If you can, move the pot into a cooler shade-spot and keep the watering them regularly.
See them here.
