Hi ,
I'm sitting in my front garden watching
the birds flit through the garden as I write this. I couldn't stay in the office anymore once I realized that we had an overcast sky so I can actually see the screen on the laptop. I hope you are enjoying the summer months any way you can too!
If you are in "one of those" states with the perennial
heat waves, have no fear - you can not-only garden in miniature indoors, you can dive into the many aspects of miniature gardening at anytime too, especially miniature making, customizing or rejuvenating accessories. It certainly fills the creative gap and gives you something creative and satisfying to think about, plan and research, then do!
I'm switching things up this week: I've got a bit of a lame wing - I overdid it with my lower-right arm and I need to back off the repetitive tasks. So this Gazette is kinda different! Hope you enjoy it and thank you for reading! :o)
Remember, whatever you do, make it
fun,
ABOVE: Photos from last weekend's workshop. Hit reply if you are interested in an online workshop and let me know! We're still collecting names! :o)
I should have asked Ziwei if she could be Two Green Thumb's Top Model! She's a natural! It was fun to watch my fellow miniature gardeners help each other out with the patio-building stages.

What's Your Favorite?
So I'm under
contract with my publisher, Timber Press, to be available to do interviews anytime for the new Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop book. The reporters always seem to ask the same questions, but this week I was asked what my favorite miniature garden was. I didn't know! Lol! Yeah, I know, I know - to see me with nothing to say is pret-ty incredible... :o) I had to punt and say it was the "Pond in a Pot" from the first book. But maybe I should have said the Houseboat Garden? But then there's the... Lol!
Now I'm wondering what YOUR favorite miniature garden is in the Two Green Thumbs' Archives? Which one do you like the best?
I've collecting all my websites and social media pages here, on our
new home-base website:
Then hit the reply and let me know, send a link if it's easier than describing it!
Christine's miniature garden from the Trunk Show WorkSHOP last weekend. She brought her own
miniatures to share and add to the gardens. Way fun! Christine was also instrumental in getting the ball rolling with The Handmade Showroom too. Thanks Christine!
Hidden Sale! Get four really drought-tolerant miniature garden sedum plants for $16.99! Steve has a way to pack these for less than the store can for most areas of the US. Where we can save you shipping, we
will! (Note that Steve ALWAYS checks the shipping costs and refund any overages.) See it here.

NEW for the Miniature Garden!
~~~~~~~~ Deciding what to bring to a first-gig is one of the hardest parts of the job. You never really know what will sell-well until you get a feel for the type of person who comes to that type of shopping center/garden
show/miniature show/street market. It's this type of insight I'm bringing to The Miniature Garden Society, it's where craft and garden meet! :o)
More workshop photos: Susan filled her miniature birdbath with
water after building the patio. That stopped everyone when they looked at her miniature garden. One-by-one each MG asked, "Did she really put water in the birdbath?" Lol!
