Hi ,

I not going to mention the weather. Nope. Not at all. Lol!

Come ON SPRING!!

I have some important news that, being the fortuitous leader of the hobby, I need to highlight and bring to you, my fellow miniature gardener.

The two top garden shows in the country are not recognizing our beloved miniature garden hobby, despite the thousands of people world-wide, and on social media, that love it.

I've written about the Northwest Flower and Garden Show here. And, our good Dr. K., over in the other corner of the country, has written about the Philadelphia Flower Show here.

All other parts of the garden industry are honored at these shows, landscaping, garden design, vegetable gardening, ikebana, bonsai and floral arranging are just a few niches that have earned a place at both shows as a facet of gardening. Whenever I approached the folks a the Northwest show with this question, I'm told to "get a booth" as a company - not as a hobby.

So, here is the email address for the Philadelphia Flower show: phs-info@pennhort.org

And here is the email address of the Northwest Flower and Garden Show: info@gardenshow.com

If you click on either email address you'll find a pre-written email that you can simply sign and send. If you want to write anything else, please do.

If you get any response, please send it along so we can inform everyone. I'm thanking you now for your efforts!

And remember, whatever you do, make it fun, despite the weather!
