Hi ,

Ugh, that silly groundhog said there was 6 more weeks of winter to go. Why do we listen to a groundhog anyway? Just as it was starting to warm up and dry out here in Seattle, the temperatures dipped and the rains came back BUT have no fear... your miniature gardeners are here!

Want some relief? Love miniature gardening? How about some creative fun? Want to meet some folks who enjoy the same things you do?  It's right here.

PHOTO ABOVE: That's the cover to my new book, Gardening in Miniature Prop Shop! Timber Press is preparing to launch - albeit a little early, lol! It's due to launch in June - stay tuned for pre-sales and exclusives!

Valentine's day is coming up quickly - remember to do what you love to do and that will spread more love. <3

Whatever you do, make it fun,

~~~~~~~~
The first tiny trees are now in stock! This set has the new Primo Dwarf Arborvitae (on the right) that really looks like a miniature version of a full-sized Arborvitae - how fun is that? Thuja occidentalis 'Primo' - See all the details here.
Up on the Mini Garden Guru Blog:
Tired of Winter? Tired of Politics? Have NO FEAR...
(Includes a little secret that I can't wait to share with YOU!)
Little Love Potions! With all the rage of using mason jars in the full-sized garden, we're having fun experimenting in miniature. It's what we do! Little Love Potions to spread some love in the miniature garden. Handmade Shepherd's hook and a hook to hang it in a tree are both included. See it here - and there are more coming if you miss this one.
What's NEW in the Store this Week!
RESERVE YOUR TREES - The trees that sold out quickly in the fall are now back in stock in limited supply. **Purchase reserves the trees,** and YOU let me know when to ship them BUT we will check with you again before we ship to make sure the weather is good.
There's only a couple/few of each left in stock:
Hebefolia Canada Hemlock  - a true miniature hemlock!
Elf Dwarf Spruce - The same tree on the cover of our book!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE:
Miniature Adirondack Bench - is authentic in every way!
Lion Bowl Fountain - can be "installed" just about anywhere!
Authentic Cedar Deck - Made in the USA, will patina gradually!
Miniature Meditation Garden - It's tiny! The pot is 2" tall. Lol! The wee Buddha is staked too - yeah, can you tell we are nutty about miniatures? Makes a fun little Valentine's Day gift! Up in the Etsy store here. (We combine shipping between our stores.)
Winter Miniature Garden Tips
- Check for conifer dieback - it's the dead leaves inside your conifers that will smother the plant. Clean it out by sloughing it off with your fingers and then clear it away from the base of the plant.
- Prune your deciduous trees while they are dormant. Cut just above a set of offshoots to hide the cut marks. You have plenty of time before spring to get this done if your winter weather is still happening.
- Make sure your pots are getting watered. This might sound silly, but if it's been freezing in your area with little precipitation, your pots may be in need of water. It's far better to have the roots frozen, than freeze dried.
