Mini Garden Gazette HAPPY SUMMER! **Photos may take a moment to load** |

Hi ,
Happy summer!
I used to get a little frustrated with the full-sized garden in the summertime. Come summer, everything was planted, fertilized and watered. There was nothing left to do but watch the garden grow but I still wanted to play with plants, stay outside and be in my garden. I could never figure out what would fill that void until I started miniature gardening. Now I can play with plants and
be in my garden anytime of year!
Remember that the best times to plant in-ground is fall through spring - but you can plant a container garden ANYTIME!
We have some fun things to share in this Gazette! Grab a cuppa and scroll on down. You'll find the last of the series of our
Sorticulture display gardens, an unusual exclusive - for you only - and new miniature plants are in stock this week.
Thank you for being our subscriber!
Whatever you do, make it

We have some thinning back to do! The ground cover New Zealand Brass Buttons sends out runners in the springtime. Simply pick them up and cut them right back when you see them. Above, one of the runners found its way around the wee patio. The New
Zealand variety is paler in color, the leaves are bigger and they lay flatter than the Platt's Black Brass Buttons. The tree is a Moonfrost Canada Hemlock. About 4 years old.

SQUIRREL!! A tiny nut-eating squirrel starts the story in this miniature garden. That is a Loowit Canada Hemlock with some Irish Moss at the base of the trunk. A medium-sized miniature garden, the pot is about 8" across and about 10 inches deep. About
5 years old. ~~~~~~~~
