More Summertime Fun!

**Photos may take a moment to load**

Hi ,

Yikes! We're in the dog daze of summah! We hope this finds you enjoying the season.

Now that the spring rush is over - and with permission from Steve - I was able to take off the $20 minimum order-rule for our online store! (If you recall I had to put it on in order to keep Steve working for me - the tiny orders were wearing him down.) So, now is the time to get that Sophisticated Fairy Garden PDF that you've been wanting! Find it here. Visit our store here.

We have some info on container gardening and repurposing / upcycling containers for miniature gardening ~> because you can ALWAYS plant a container garden at ANYTIME! No need to wait for the seasons to have a reason to garden in miniature!

Thank you for being our subscriber! We're America's Favorite Miniature Garden Center and we're tickled to be able to serve YOU!

Whatever you do, make it fun,

ABOVE: I can't remember how old this miniature garden is! It's at least 5 years old and I did start with gallon-sized trees. The tub does have drainage holes.

Cool Thoughts!

We're getting emails from fellow MGs planning ahead for the winter months already. One customer was horribly misinformed about her trees and plants and was told to put her gardens in the garage for the winter. Um. No. If you chose your plants according to your zone the plants will be okay outside over the winter - in fact, they would prefer it.

Always go back to the hardiness of the plant and make a mental note of the average hardiness of each container. If the winter temps dip into extremes, you know which one to move or cover up for the night.

Miniature compost heap. The cinderblocks create a perfect corner for it! See them here.

Soft creamy tips on blue-green branches.

Cuteness! Tiny fern leaves are perfect for large sized gardens!

Frilly leaves are very pretty!

A favorite for zones 6 through 9!

NO MINIMUM ORDERS THIS MONTH!

~~~~~~~~
Miniature Ice Plant - Delosperma congesta - stays tightly together and it not as invasive as the "regular" ice plant. GREAT texture and the flowers are the icing on the cake! See it here.
I found this on Facebook. See? There IS a term for it!! (Can't find the original source for the photo credit.)
