Hi ,
I have to laugh because I do it every year: just wish and hope and wait and hope and wish - for spring!! Maybe if I got into winter sports or skiing I
wouldn't pine for spring as much, eh?
We are still experiencing tropical rain storms here in the PNW. Some days it is warm and wet, other days are cold and wet. I'm growing gills. But it is warm enough for all the trees to start flushing out and the cherry blossoms to pop, but it is just too wet play in the soil. Come on, spring!
[If you work the soil when it is wet you
will destroy the little micro-good-things in the soil.]
This week, we've brought back some of your favorite ideas as well as some pretty exclusive accessory sets, if I do say so myself! And, just in case you missed it, a reason to not buy that expensive pre-packaged moss. Ew.
:O)
Whatever you do, make it fun,

This is the YFMG Exclusive Set #1, Large size or 1" scale. Full sun, hardy to -30F. Free shipping. Grab one here. Back by Popular Demand: YFMG Exclusive Kits!
We have been getting a few requests to bring back our YFMG Exclusive Kits so this week, we have two different ones for you!
Our YFMG
kits are for subscribers ONLY, they always include items you can't easily find elsewhere AND free shipping too!
Limited quantities are available so if you like it, don't hesitate because we can't replicate them once they are gone.
If you want additional accessories there is some room in the box for some small items and we will refund any shipping costs whenever we can.
This kit #1 has a couple of plants that do well in pots, cold hardy to-30F and can handle full sun but for easy maintenance, keep the container in a part-sun spot so you don't have to water it every day in the summer. The Platt's Black Brass Buttons
turns brown in the sun, and greener with some shade. A nice plant combo with a lot of texture and interest.
The pebbles in this set are discontinued and super-cute. They are bigger than our regular micro-pebbles and the same color as our Mother Earth
Stone Sheet. - Mops Mugo Pine, 4" pot, cold hardy to -40F, full sun, outdoor plant
- Platts Black Brass Buttons, 4" pot, cold hardy to -30F, full sun, outdoor plant
- Adirondack

The YFMG Kit #2 with a Canada Hemlock. Cold hardy to -20F, part sun/shade. Grab one here.
The Jervis Canada Hemlock is one of my favorite Hemlocks to grow in the miniature garden. See the photo at the bottom of the newsletter to see how one looks after several years in a miniature garden - it just keeps growing up and out and after a few years it will look like a majestic tree in miniature.
Hemlocks prefer evenly damp soil and the part-shade or part-sun requirement helps in that regard. Prune away the smaller, bottom-most branches to expose more of the trunk so it will look like a tree.
The Baby Tears
will grow along the ground, trail down the side of pot or rockery and begin to look moss-like. Protect from freezing. Does well indoors too if you wanted to split up the set and make two gardens. - Jervis Canada Hemlock, 4" pot, cold hardy to -20F, part sun/shade, outdoor plant
- Baby Tears, 4" pot, cold hardy to 32F, part sun/shade,
outdoor or indoor plant
- 2 Clam shell chair painted a fun lime green, painted metal
- Metal birdbath, staked
- Tiny driftwood stump, staked
- Borders/Skewers/Mesh
- 2 lbs Sea Green Mini-Pebbles
- 10 piece set
- FREE Shipping
- Medium size,
or 1/2" scale.
Only available through this newsletter.
