Hi ,

Just a few things to tie you over until life gets back to normal here as I put the final touches on the manuscript for Timber Press.

Please enjoy our very first miniature gardener we made back in 1999 before I started Two Green Thumbs. We have some hardy - cold and heat hardy - plants for the miniature garden bed or container. And, your conifer isn't dying - it's blushing.

Read on and have a great week! Thank you for being our subscriber!

As always, whatever you do, make it fun,

See what we did to Barbie way before Mattel did.

The Mother Lode Juniper doing her thing in the frigid temperatures we had last winter. The shrub is a celery green color in the summer. Cool, huh?
Your Conifer Is NOT Dying,
It's Blushing!!

A lot of the conifers change color in the cold winter temperatures and some even look like they are dead - but they aren't. They are blushing.

Because we love them.

Well, there's that too. ;o)

But it is because of the freezing temps. They'll turn back to the their spring color when the weather warms up.

See more of the winter's colors here on the Mini Garden Guru blog, click here.

Our miniature and dwarf junipers and pines shine in the summertime because they are drought tolerant BUT they are also very, very, cold-hardy and able to withstand temperatures of -40F. Brrrrr!!! Read more about them here.
