More Spooky Halloween Ideas! |
Hi ,
We gave in to the buzz this week with the Back to Future
Day that was yesterday, October 22, 2015. It's the date that they choose to time-travel to in the movie. Well, didn't that opened up a trot down memory lane for us!
So, included in this newsletter is some blasts from the past - and some Halloween-themed miniature garden ideas that you can try at
home.
Just call me Janit McFly - I mean, didn't we all wish we could travel to the future to see if our decisions made today were the right ones? Wait, I guess that's what faith and trust is, eh? Wait, did I just bring deeper meaning to a Back to the Future movie? Good
grief. Lol!
Read on for some more goodies!

Above: Add another level to your Halloween photos by painting up your hand and nails for the shot. Steve was our model for this one - his hand looks like an ogre! Run! Above: Some of the skulls are beads, others are from the plastic skeleton garlands and we broke them apart to get a pile of bones. Haunt the Halloween aisles after Halloween to find the stuff on
sale so you don't feel too badly about breaking them. Lol! How to Grow Your Own a Giant Pumpkin
[Warning: Humor is involved.]
I got a nasty comment on this blog when I posted this. Lol! The fella didn't care for the humor behind it when
he clicked in.
He accused me of "clickbait" <~ Clickbait websites have no soul, no contact info, no "about us" page, no personality behind them and no originality. They scrape content illegally from people like us to trick you into visiting the site to get the advertising
revenue.
YOU can help create a better Internet!
How to ID clickbait: Look for an "about us" page or contact info
page on the website - if there is none, it's not legit. If you feel you are in a clickbait website, just hit the back button. Don't click on any advertisements or links on the site. Nothing will happen to you if you do click, but they'll get paid for it and they will keep doing it.
What do you think? Did I post a trick or treat?
See it here. Leave a comment on the Blog - did it make you smile at least? |
Above: From a display at our big flower show here in Seattle in 2006. The tiny pumpkin garland in the tree was from a necklace found at a Halloween store. Find the tombstones and pumpkins up in our
Halloween Department here.
Above: An old combination from our Etsy store. Remember to keep your broken and damaged miniatures for Halloween decorations. Even if you don't care for zombies or headless angel statues, you can use them as hostess, teacher or coworker
gifts. To see more ideas on how to use your broken and damaged minis, click

They are different! Plants are just like us - some do very well in the hot climates, others, not-so-much. Here is some more insight on our Mini Garden Guru blog:

Happy Halloween! One more blast from the past. This was from our greeting
card line we were toying with back in 1999. It was a miniature garden scene that we created for this line changed the course our career - and garden history!
