Hi ,
I hope this finds you enjoying the spring, whatever the weather is doing! It seems we're either cold or hot or wet or dry - it's apparently a Goldilocks kinda of season as we head toward the summer months.
For those who are already in a heat wave, find a few blogs linked below for some tips and insight into keeping your miniature gardens happy during the hottest months. I know there must be millions of micro-climates across the country but there might be something in there you can use...
It feels like things are getting a bit hectic now that we try to get back to normal from the shutdown. But with the too-eager crowds, gas prices and flight cancelations, my plans for the summer have been changed to a series of fun miniature garden projects instead. AND this includes my in-ground fairy lakeside garden shown above. This was a project from the first Gardening in Miniature book that I'm updating for the Miniature Garden Society, and have been inspired to make it into a kit for one of our members.
And YES! I'm making a fairy garden to honor all the fairy gardeners who have been following my work. (I do enjoy the fairy idea, I just don't care for all the fairy toys, I prefer to get lost in the realism.) Read on below if you like this Lakeside idea!
New trees are now in stock. I have some new "sets of 2" of trees if you are on a budget - save up to 20% or more on some varieties. These double sets are perfect for new gardens, anchoring a garden bed or making an extra garden for gift, charity or for a friend.
See them in our New & Back in Stock Section here.
Whatever you do, make it fun, stay safe and water your miniature garden,

Celebrate Pride Month in the Miniature Garden! Get out your paints and grab a cuppa - it's Pride Time! This miniature garden was part of one of our "year in the miniature garden" series. I painted the chair and fence with
acrylic paint to help cinch the theme.
Let me know if you would like a FREE instant download of that Pride Flag Banner and I'll send it. I didn't finish the official "PDF" yet for the store and you can help motivate me to finish it...! (Yes, I'm an artist and I need deadlines. :o) I think I have three different flag styles in the one download. Interested in making your own? Hit reply, let me know and
I'll email you one!
Or, I should have it up for sale soon... :o)
About the above garden: that's a Wilma Goldcrest Cypress. The tiny rosettes at the base of the birdhouse are the Miniature London Pride, Saxifraga umbrosa var. 'Primuloides.' In that yellow pot are Sedum cuttings mixed with Dwarf Ladies Mantle (that's not a "miniature" plant but the flowers are useful!)

Interested in the Lakeside Miniature Garden Kit? ~ I've been working on this fairy garden version with the pink and white stones, another miniature garden version will be with gray stones. (The larger rocks and the
moss are not included.) I think there needs to be two sizes, for small and large ponds. Let me know if you are interested in one of the new Lakeside kits, reply to this email!

~> THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE DONATED! <~
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
We're still looking for some help getting the National Miniature Garden Month! The application fee is $3,500 and it's a "one-time" fee so once we've paid for it, we'll have it forever.
Steve and I have been working on this hobby for the last 20 years and have self-funded everything so far, but now we need some real help to get this going. I think it's worth every cent and it'll expose our hobby more than we could ever do.
We're coming up with ways to thank our donors too! So your help won't be forgotten!
Here are some ways for you to help for any kind of budget. Click into the links for more...
(The Peace Banner proceeds still go to the Ukraine relief effort.)

ABOUT OUR SHIPPING:
All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping
calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we will.
