Hi ,
Happy Valentine's Day Lovely!! I hope your weekend will be full of love and appreciation for - you guessed it - your FAVORITE hobby of miniature gardening! Lol! What else would I be on about? :o)
Well, this week I'm doing the happy dance here in Seattle ~> It's NOT raining. Lol! We haven't had any rain for a couple of weeks and that means I get to work the soil and play with my plants. TRUE garden therapy! Now lets see if it lasts...
Here in Seattle, we really have to drop everything, turn off our screens and get out in the nice weather while we have it because we NEVER know how long it will last - nor when it will come back. Besides the fact that my own spring gardening needs to get done before the busy spring season - or it won't get done until early summer. (One of the joys of having a garden
business!)
AND I'm determined to get stay on top of my in-ground miniature garden this year while making notes of what works and what doesn't for our Miniature Garden
Society. This in-ground miniature garden has been a completely different lesson in growing small compared to containers. It's been a work in progress for a few years now ... more to come on this next week!
So join me as we take a wee trip down memory lane with some Valentine's Day-themed miniature gardens from years past. It's one of the sweetest themes you can plant in a mini garden - AND it's one of the sweetest gifts you can give: a miniature garden made by YOU! <3
*** REMEMBER to keep your containers - full-size and mini gardens - watered throughout the winter. Your plants, if you chose hardy ones for your area (right plant, right place,) will do fine if they are frozen, but not freeze dried. If your area has been freezing, check all your pots. ***
Enjoy your Super-Valentine-Bowl weekend! Go Bengals!! You know I'm always rooting for the underdog...
Stay safe. And whatever you do, please make it fun and safe for everyone,

ABOVE: From 2014 - This was for a cover for a trade magazine. From left to right: a baby Lady's Mantle underneath the variegated cypress (variety unknown, might be a Lawsonianna.) That's a miniature Gingko Biloba tree (found at a plant sale) and to the right is the White Diamond Sedum. I don't leave the carpet down as it'll get wrecked when watering - I only drag it out on special
occasions. :o)
From 2015 - The Blue Pygmy Juniper makes a darling little tree for the full sun. Junipers are durable and
can handle the dry weather and hot sun - just don't let them stay dry for too long if they are in a pot. They come in many shapes and sizes too - check out this Limeglow Juniper that is a bright gold color in the summer and PINK in the winter! (In colder areas it turns plum-color.)
That pink plant under the tree is the Tricolor Sedum.
Recognize this? Yep! It's our Cover Girl garden from our Gardening in Miniature book. That's an Elf Dwarf Spruce that has bonsai'd itself in that pot. (The Elfs are very rare these daysGet your Valentine's Day DIY Banner (instant downloadable & printable) to
help celebrate the love you share! It's in three different scales. All you need is scissors, string, a glue stick and about 20 minutes or so. Add love wherever you want! See it
here.

(Unique sets, tiny benches and a wee patio set! :o)

that I make, now we have a spot for it! More to come... :o)

AND you get FREE stuff and discounts too... !
Now it's not for everybody - just those who LOVE miniature gardening!
From 2016 - Handmade mini valentine's day decorations liven up the scene for the occasion. It's fun to go a

ABOUT OUR SHIPPING:
We Ship Internationally (- but not the plants!)
All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can
save you money on shipping, we will.

We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color,
gender, politics, religion or who they love.
Viva la difference!
If we were all the same, the world would be a
very, very boring place to live.
