Merry Christmas!
Happy Holly Days!
Hi
Steve and I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas,
our lovely miniature gardener!
I hope your holiday weekend is warm, cozy, fun and relaxing.
Stay safe. And whatever you do, please make it fun and safe for everyone,
Janit Calvo, Head MG, Owner

Taking a decorating trend from TV - It seemed that a lot of news stations and game shows were using stacks of presents as holiday decor this year. I couldn't resist the challenge! A lot of these wee boxes were made from old greeting cards. The tiny bows I had
in my stash.
~~~
You can see the mechanics behind the nighttime scene above - Another decorating trend I took from the full-sized world was loading-on the tree lights. I just loved how entire trees were nothing but lights of all shapes and sizes. I still didn't have enough
lights, nor enough variety to fully replicate the idea, but it was fun to do. (A miniature garden confession: I only did the front-half of the tree so I could maximize the light strands.)
~~~
Same Miniature Garden - Same pot. This very same Elf Miniature Spruce was grown in our in-ground miniature garden at our rental in West Seattle, planted around 2005. In 2010, when we bought our house, I transplanted the Elf into the bowl that it is
in now. It became our 'Cover Girl' for my first Gardening in Miniature Book in 2013. (Above, translated in to German, Korean and Turkish.) You can compare the width of the tree's canopy with the size of the pot to see just how much is hasn't grown in almost 10 years. Don't have your copy yet? Find it here. We carry the Elf Miniature Spruce from time to time. Gazette subscribers get first dibs so watch this space!

Still Looking for a Cool Gift to Give?
PLEASE Remember YOU
this Gift-Giving Season Too!
You deserve it!
Like an old friend, our 'Cover Girl Garden' keeps us company on our back lanai. We're expecting a freeze this week and, although this spruce is hardy to Zone 5 of -20F, (-30C!!) I wanted to keep it close so I know it's getting watered. Remember
that any plant's roots will survive the winter's freeze if they are frozen, NOT freeze-dried - so water your gardens in the winter if you have to! (Wave to the neighbor who thinks you crazy for doing so! Lol!)

A BIG MINIATURE GARDEN THANK YOU!
Thank you to Pinky from CA, Kathryn from LA, Everall from NC, Sue from MN and Theresa from FL, who bought us
coffees to thank us for our hard work and dedication in bringing this hobby to the world. Thanks to all your support, Steve and I turned all your coffees into holiday Christmas party - for three - including our dog, Kitty. Many thanks for all your support and your kind notes! <3

ABOUT OUR SHIPPING:
We Ship Internationally (- but not the plants!)
All shipping costs are checked by Steve and we refund any savings promptly because of our wide range of unique inventory: we ship tiny miniatures, heavy patio materials and living plants, sometimes the automatic shipping calculator "packs" the order in multiple boxes which costs more. Steve can pack better than any online shipping calculator can - if we can save you money on shipping, we
will.

We appreciate and serve everyone regardless of race, color,
gender, politics, religion or who they love.
Viva la difference!
If we were all the same, the world would be a
very, very boring place to live.
We believe in Oneness, Kindness & Love.
