Ah! You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch! I saw this Grinch idea yesterday, standing atop a fence, stealing a neighbor's lights, and knew immediately that I had make it in miniature. Even though I can't garden during this incredibly cool and wet fall season that we're having
here in the PNW, this hobby can still give you ways to enjoy a lil' crafting here and there. More details below!

This Silver Spire Yew usually has plenty of company during the other seasons of the year. But when the bedding plants are dormant, it's time to decorate and have some fun! The painted terra cotta pot is 9" in diameter. This garden is about 4 to 5 years old. I hope the photo comes through okay - I was shooting at dusk to try to get the lights to shine brighter.
The Silver Spire Yew is a fun treat for the miniature garden. In colder areas it will get a winter's blush which really means it turns a bit silver - see the photo below. When the weather warms up in spring, the new flush of spring growth is a burgundy red color, followed by a bright chartreuse green. See more color changes here.
